Globi, the blue bird with a yellow beak, beret and red and black checked trousers, simply belongs to the Engstligenalp. The experience with Globi begins when the Globi cable car takes your whole family up the mountain. There’s already plenty to marvel at on the journey: Will you spot the Engstligen Falls? Globi welcomes you to the most beautiful plateau in Switzerland: together you will explore the Engstligenalp and experience an unforgettable Globi adventure with the whole family – and it won’t only be the children’s eyes that light up.
The Globi cable car takes your whole family up to the Engstligenalp. The adventure with Globi begins right away, because there is a lot to discover on the way. Maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of the roaring waterfall.

On the Engstligenalp you have the opportunity to meet Globi in person. In summer you can meet him at the mountain hotel – he is looking forward to your visit.
Of course, the blue bird is also happy to pose for a souvenir photo. Most of the time he even has a surprise with him: small gifts like tattoos, stickers and postcards make sure that your encounter with Globi will stay in your memory for a long time.
Hiking with Globi is twice as much fun. The three Globi trails are ideal for exploring the landscape, animals and plants of the alpine world:

Every year, the Engstligenalp becomes the meeting place for Globi fans young and old!
On 25 July 2027 it’s that time again: the annual Globi Festival invites you to celebrate. Discover the alpine market and a varied supporting programme. An event for the whole family! Look forward to market stalls with Globi and alpine products, face painting for children and much more.
Of course, Globi himself will be there too. Young and old visitors can meet Globi in person and spend an unforgettable day with him on the Engstligenalp.
Do you already know the story of how Globi becomes an alpine herdsman on the Engstligenalp for one season? The alpine dairyman has unfortunately injured himself – so of course Globi steps in for him. Now there is a lot for him to do, a lot to learn and a lot of new things to discover. So Globi spreads cow dung on the pastures, hauls huge bales of hay, learns to yodel through a milk funnel and how to swing flags. During his alpine summer he has to deal with cheeky cows and meets dwarfs and a giant. Read for yourself what else he experiences!
Globi books, CDs and various other Globi articles are available in the Globi Stübli or at the mountain hotel. The Globi Stübli is open whenever the Globi cable car is in operation.
