Globi, the blue bird with a yellow beak, beret and red and black checked trousers, simply belongs to the Engstligenalp. The Globi experience begins when the Globi cable car takes your whole family up the mountain in winter. He welcomes you to the most beautiful plateau in Switzerland: together you will explore the Engstligenalp and experience an unforgettable Globi adventure with the whole family – and it won’t only be the children’s eyes that light up.
The Globi cable car takes your whole family up to the Engstligenalp. The adventure with Globi begins right away, because there is a lot to discover on the way. Maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of the frozen waterfall.

Right next to the mountain hotel, the Globi Kinderland awaits adventure-hungry guests on the slope. From morning to evening you will be spoiled by the sun here. And with a bit of luck, Globi is already there, because the blue bird loves the snow just as much as you do. A fun Globi trail with a drive-through gondola, bumps and gates awaits the little guests in the Kinderland. Fun is guaranteed – and not only for children.
Another special family experience is a visit to the excitingly designed Horä Trail further back at the Bockmatti lift: wave troughs and steep banked curves provide fun and action on a family holiday in the Alps. Whizzing through the old Engstligen gondola is an unforgettable experience.
Or you can whiz down the slope in a tube on the snowtubing track. Tired from skiing and playing in the snow? Then take a relaxing break on the children’s carousel.
In the Kinderland, you’ll usually meet Globi on skis. He proudly shows off his skiing skills and challenges you to follow him – great fun for everyone! From time to time Globi is also out and about on foot around the mountain hotel and looks forward to meeting you.

Of course, Globi is also happy to pose with you for a souvenir photo. And if you’re a little lucky, Globi will even have a small surprise for you: little gifts such as tattoos, stickers and postcards will quickly make children’s eyes light up.
Do you admire the big skiers and their elegant turns on the slopes? You can do that too! At the Globi ski school you learn to ski every Saturday and Sunday during the winter sports season from the end of December to the beginning of April. Everyone is welcome up here – beginners as well as budding pros. Two children’s lifts with several exits take you and other little winter athletes to the start of the run. With a little practice, you’ll soon master your first short turns and confidently carve your way down the slope.

Do you already know the story of how Globi becomes an alpine herdsman on the Engstligenalp for one season? The alpine dairyman has unfortunately injured himself – so of course Globi steps in for him. Now there is a lot for him to do, a lot to learn and a lot of new things to discover. So Globi spreads cow dung on the pastures, hauls huge bales of hay, learns to yodel through a milk funnel and how to swing flags.
